b.    General notes on data processing

Use of this website may result in the processing of personal data. The data protection term "personal data" refers to all information relating to an identified or identifiable person. Therefore, an IP address can also be considered personal data. An IP address is assigned by the internet provider to each device connected to the Internet, so that it can send and receive data. When you use the website, we collect information that you yourself provide. In addition, during your visit to the website, we automatically capture certain information about your use of the site.

We process personal data in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations, in particular the GDPR and the FDPA. Any data processing performed by us takes place only on the basis of legal authorization. When using the website, we process personal data only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a), GDPR), in order to fulfill a contract to which you are a party, or at your request to carry out pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b), GDPR), for the fulfillment of a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c), GDPR) or if the processing is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, insofar as your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms requiring the protection of personal data do not prevail (Art. 6(1)(f), GDPR). If you apply for an open position in our company, your personal data is also subject to processing to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship (Art. 26(1)(1), FDPA).

c.    Duration of storage

Unless otherwise stated in the following information, we store the data only for as long as it is necessary to achieve the processing purpose or to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations. Such statutory retention requirements may arise in particular from commercial or tax regulations.

d.    Technical service providers

Unless otherwise stated in the following information, the data is processed on the servers of technical service providers who have been commissioned by us for this purpose. These service providers process the data only after explicit instruction and are contractually obliged to guarantee sufficient technical and organizational measures for data protection.

2.    Processing of server-log-files

In the purely informative use of our website, general information that your browser transmits to our server is initially stored automatically (i.e. not via registration). These include by default: browser type/version, operating system used, page visited, the previously visited page (referrer URL), IP address, date and time of the server request, and HTTP status code.

The processing takes place in order to protect our legitimate interests and has as its legal basis Art. 6(1)(f), GDPR. This processing serves the technical management and security purposes of the website. The stored data will be deleted after seven days, unless there is a legitimate suspicion of unlawful use on the basis of concrete evidence and, for this reason, further examination and processing of the information is required.

3.    Contact form

Our website contains a contact form with which you can send us messages and inquiries. The transfer of your data is encrypted.
The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6(1)(b), GDPR. All data fields marked as mandatory are required to process your request. If you do not provide the required data, we will not be able to process your request. The provision of additional data is voluntary. We will use your data solely to process your request. Alternatively, you can send us a message via the contact email.

4.    Stand configurator
Registration via the website is required if you would like to use our stand configurator. The required information is indicated on the registration input screen. The provision of information marked as mandatory is absolutely necessary in order to complete the registration, and for you to then be able to use the stand configurator. The data provided will be processed for the purpose of providing the service. The legal basis of the processing is Art. 6(1)(b), GDPR.

5.    Cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. This identifies the browser used so it can be recognized by our web server. Insofar as this use of cookies results in the processing of personal data, this processing has its legal basis in Art. 6(1)(f), GDPR. This processing serves our legitimate interest of making our website more user-friendly, efficient and secure. In addition, certain cookies are necessary to use the stand configurator. In this case, the processing has its legal basis in Art. 6(1)(a), GDPR.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies" which are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies ("persistent cookies") are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies from the security settings of your browser at any time. You can block all use of cookies using your browser settings. 6.    Google Analytics
We use the Google Analytics service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google") to evaluate visits to our website. Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of our online offerings by users is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our online offerings by users, to compile reports on the activities within these online offerings, and to provide us with further services related to the use of these online offerings and the internet related services provided. Thereby, pseudonymous user usage profiles can be created from the processed data.
We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymization activated. This means that the IP address of the user will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address submitted by the user's browser will not be merged with other data held by Google.
The legal basis for the use of this service is Art. 6(1)(f), GDPR, and serves the legitimate interest of analyzing user behavior on our website and any possible needs-based design.
Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting the options of their browser software accordingly. You can also prevent the collection of information generated by the cookie by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. If you visit our website using a mobile device, you can deactivate Google Analytics by clicking on this link.

7.    Analysis by wiredminds
Our website uses pixel counting technology from wiredminds GmbH ("wiredminds") to analyze visitor behavior. Data is collected, processed and stored as necessary, and user profiles are created from this data under pseudonyms. Wherever possible and meaningful, these usage profiles are completely anonymized. Cookies can be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the visitor's internet browser and serve to recognize the internet browser. The collected data, which may also contain personal data, is transmitted to wiredminds or collected directly by wiredminds. Information that is left by visits to the websites may be used by wiredminds to create anonymized usage profiles. The data thereby obtained will not be used to personally identify the visitor to this website, nor will it be merged with personal data on the bearer of the pseudonym, without the expressly granted consent of the person concerned in either case. If IP addresses are captured, they will be anonymized immediately by deleting the last block of numbers.

The legal basis for the use of this service is Art. 6(1)(f), GDPR, and serves the legitimate interest of analyzing user behavior on our website and the needs-based design which may result.
You can object to data collection in the context of wiredminds here...

8.    Google AdWords conversion tracking
We use Google LLC's online advertising program, Google LLC (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, "Google"), through which we run advertisements on Google. If you access our website via a Google advert, Google will set a cookie on your device ("conversion cookie"). Each advertiser using AdWords has a different conversion cookie associated with it so that cookies are not tracked through the websites of different AdWords advertisers. The information obtained by means of the cookie is used to generate conversion statistics. In this way, we ascertain the total number of users who clicked on one of our Google adverts. However, we do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

Insofar as personal data is collected, its legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f), GDPR, whereby the data processing serves our legitimate economic interests. You can exclude yourself from the conversion tracking by blocking the setting of cookies by means of your browser settings.
Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement, which provides a guarantee to comply with European data protection legislation (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).
